If you are still experiencing difficulty retreiving your missing data you may need to re-enter it onto the package remembering to save as you go.
Q: Do I have a choice as to where I back up Evrite Software to.
A: Yes, you have a choice as to where you back-up your information. This should be a separate storage device, such as an external hard drive, a memory stick or a CD. To guard against, theft, fire and other disasters the back-up should be kept in a different building to the main computer.

Q: I've spilt tea over my keyboard will it affect the programme?
A: Not unless your computer had a power surge caused by this – then you might experience some data corruption. Evrite recommend you review your computer manufactures advice and contact them if you require assistance with your computer. If the programme is corrupted then you should reload it back onto your computer and use the backup data to restore your files.

Q: Do I need to Clean the disk before I install it?
A: The disk should be in good condition when you open its box and dust free, ready to install, If you have had the disk out of the box for a while then wipe it with a clean dry cotton cloth before you install.
Q: Can the Goods list maintain accurate stock levels. Is it used for anything else?
A: No the Goods list does not act as a Stock control system, you would have to manually maintain it which would be very time consuming. By having accurate prices included in your stock list (from the Orders & Invoices section of the Main Menu) you can select your Customer then choose to make out an Invoice, Quote or even a Delivery note. These will require you to select the stock items the customer is interested in and the program will add the prices together giving you a total.
Q: How do I print out what stock I have?
A: At the top of the Goods Maintenance window on the right you will see two spanners the one on the right has Stocktake written under it, if you click the arrow on the right of it and select print stocktake results.

A: You can choose the date you start from and if you don't have an entry for a week or two; for example you were on holiday and did not trade that fortnight, then you can skip forward two weeks and then make an entry.
Q: Can Evrite Software use different currencies?
A: Yes you can enter a different currency during the initial set-up of the program and run Evrite Software in, for example, Euros'. You will need to adjust the VAT rate this can be done from the 'Evrite Accounts' at the top of the screen selecting 'VAT Rates' from this screen you can change the standard VAT Rate from 17.5%.
Q: Does the Evrite Software package open in whatever week my computer thinks it is?
A: Yes if your computer's clock located in the bottom right of your screen is not set to the correct date then this will affect the Evrite Software Package, resulting in printouts having the wrong date on them. Also the Program will open the Traders Weekly Account section in the wrong week. If your computer is connected to the internet then the date should set itself. Alternatively you can double left click on the clock to set the time & date.
Q: How do I change my user password?
A: Go to Company Setup Interview from the menu and click 'Next'. From this screen you can now select the user whose password you want to change. Tick the 'Set Password' box then click into the 'New Password' section and type a new password.
Q: I have found an Evrite Software folder called CompA what is it?
A: The CompA folder is critical, it is used to store all Company A data (Your Company is Company A) so this file stores all your accounts information and deleting it would erase all your accounts information. You can copy the CompA folder and store it as a second back up either on a CD or some other storage device.
A: Yes you should create a sundry Suppliers Account that you could use for as many small purchases as you like from as many companies as you wish, I do suggest that you use the notes section to include information about the Supplier incase you need to contact them again.
Q: Standing Orders - How should I enter a Payment for a double entry?
A: Make sure when paying a Standing Order you select 'Pick a Payment' and not make a Payment. Standing orders created in the General Purpose Accounts generate entry's in the Purchase Invoices section. If you make a payment the system will create an additional entry and not allocate against the existing entry for that month.
A:1. From the 'Details' Tab of the VAT Return press the 'Calc' button (it has a picture of a spanner / wrench on it) this will re-calculate your VAT Return.A:2. Double check your Supplier type setting for your EC Client and make sure it was set to EC European Community, If it was not you will need to change it to EC and save, then select your payment from Traders Weekly Accounts and Deallocate it. Click 'Purchase' to allocate it again (This refreshes the data allowing it to be sent to the right location) and save the week. The final step is to open the VAT Return and click 'Calc' to re-calculate your return then save. If you have a problem with Evrite Software that is not listed here please send an email to support@evritesoftware.co.uk and we will respond as soon as possible.
You need to save all last years data and file it electronically ( Copy your CompA data and keep it safe), I also advise you to keep a hard copy / print out last years reports. You could copy an aditional version of your CompA file from where you store it to the desktop for quick access while you work on this. Select, My Computer, C Drive, Program Files, Evrite Software Limited, Evrite Software Package, CompA.
Select the following files GOODS.C, GOODS.D & GOODS.F to copy all your goods info. The same process applies to PSUPP.C (Suppliers) and SCUST.C (Customer List) copy all three files C,D & F.When you have installed a new version of Evrite Software then activate it with your Activation Key and log out, remember to back up when you exit. Open your C Drive and Select, My Computer, C Drive, Program Files, Evrite Software Limited, Evrite Software Package, open CompA. From here paste your old (Saved C,D&F) files into compA (Your new version of CompA).When you have done that, open Evrite Software Program and select System, Utilities, Database Rebuild and run a database integrity check to finish.
Your main (Easy) menu can be found at the top of the screen under Evrite Accounts.
From the main menu (Easy Menu) select VAT Return then pick VAT Rates. Under Standard (Rate)
Change Date 1 to 30/11/2008 with Rate 1 at 15%
Change Date 2 to 01/01/2010 with Rate 2 at 17.5%
You will be able to access all data entered prior to date 1 (15%) when VAT was 17.5%. You will not be able to adjust your figures prior to 30/11/2008 with this VAT Change, which is easily corrected by changing it back if needed, however if you commited your VAT Return during this time you would not be able to adjust the data anyway.
Please print out the Reports and Return listed below to take to your Accountant for your year end.
Financial Transactions Report
Income & Expenditure Report
Purchase Invoice Report
Purchase Payment Report
Sales Invoice Report
Sales Receipts Report
Wages & Drawings Report
Bank Account Report
Credit Card Report
